Americans for Prosperity – New York will be presenting a 5-hour training event on Saturday, April 16th.
This event will train you how to lobby your Legislators, how to testify before a Legislative Committee, and show you how the Legislature works...and how you can impact what happens in Albany!
Location: Quality Inn & Suites – Latham
611 Troy-Schenectady Road
Latham, NY 12110
Registration will begin at 8:30 am, with the training to begin promptly at 9:00 am and ending at 1:00 pm.
The workshop will teach citizens how to track legislation, communicate with your legislator effectively, prepare to testify before a committee hearing, file a Freedom of Information Act request and more. We will also cover the New York State fiscal crisis in depth and bills presently introduced in this legislative session.
The fee for the event will be $25 per person and lunch will be provided. Seating is limited! Please registration by Saturday, April 9th.
If you are traveling and wish to stay overnight, room rates are $79 + taxes and fees per room available at the hotel. You will have to contact the hotel directly at (518) 785-5891.
